Exciting news for Seattle's music community! 🎶 The Seattle City Council passed groundbreaking legislation prioritizing parking for musicians and their crews at live music venues! 🚗🎸 The new law will support our vibrant music scene with Music Venue Zone Permits and designated "Music Venue Zones"! The permits create up to three spaces per venue and will allow for convenient parking and loading around the clock, every day of the week, while displaying a valid permit. 🅿🎵 The Music Venue Zones aims to support artists and their crews by making it easier for artists to perform and thrive, and to support music venues which will enhance our vibrant music scene and boost economic development. ✨ Proud to be part of this collaboration with the Seattle Department of Transportation and the Seattle Music Commission to transform the parking and loading experience for our city's venues and musicians! From feedback to action, the Music Venue Zone Permit program is a game-changer in supporting our music scene. Economic development rooted in sustainability and Indigenous roots? Yes, it is possible, and we are working so the Seattle Aquarium's Ocean Pavilion is the first of many milestones in Downtown Seattle to pursue that mission. We love to show off our city to the world, while also staying rooted in sustainability and respect for the Coast Salish people, who inspire that honor and care for our shared Earth.
