About us

Seawall is a community organization made up of passionate social entrepreneurs who believe in re-imagining the real estate industry as we know it. We believe that all facets of the built environment should be used to empower communities, unite our cities, and help launch powerful ideas that create important movements. Combining decades of real estate development experience and non-profit community work, we have formed a socially conscious development company. Seawall has focused its energy and resources on providing discounted apartments for teachers, collaborative office space for non-profit organizations, community-driven retail, launchpads for chefs, and creative space for charter schools. Seawall’s history of success is due in large part to deep relationships with neighborhood residents and business owners, as well as demonstrated and continuing commitment to responsible, inclusive development that is responsive to neighborhood needs and wants.

    We're Hiring! Wide Angle Youth Media is looking for two part-time interns to join our creative team. These paid training programs are designed to help young creatives gain hands-on experience and launch their careers in media. Production Intern (Part-Time) – starting at $17/hr Application deadline: April 4, 2025 Work on video projects across Maryland, with a focus on pre-production, production, and post-production. This 12-month position offers the opportunity to advance into a full-time Multimedia Apprenticeship after 500 paid hours of experience. Design Intern (Part-Time) – starting at $17/hr Application deadline: rolling through April 8, 2025 Develop your graphic design skills by working on client and personal projects from start to finish, including a combination of design ideation, production, and deliverable creation.     Seawall's 2024 impact told through wins, losses, and lessons that carry us into the year ahead. In 2023, we began the process of capturing annual data to help measure our impact across the various categories of our work. That first impact report, launched at this time last year, created a new rhythm for us - setting a time to both update and add to that data, and also reflect on the past year. This year, we reflect on newly opened projects (The Service Center!), growing relationships with partner developers (Rian Hargrave, Alex Aaron, Khalil Uqdah/Kyara Gray-Uqdah), new businesses opening in Remington, and many more challenges and moments along the way in 2024.
