Thank you to our friends at Chick-fil-A Restaurants for ensuring 2,000 meal kits were packed for those facing food insecurity! Of these, 1,000 meals were redirected to disaster relief efforts in the Augusta metro area, along with water, snacks, and fresh produce. Our friends from Whole Foods Market, FORTNA, and Purchasing Power all came together to ensure 2,000 meal kits were assembled and ready to be distributed to our neighbors facing food insecurity. Second Helpings Atlanta is on a mission to end hunger and food waste in metro Atlanta. 1 in 9 of our neighbors live in food insecurity, while millions of pounds of quality, nutritional food goes to waste each year. We believe food rescue is the way to nourish our neighbors, not our landfills!
