The Institute for Second Service, previously known as Veterans Campaign is a non-partisan, non-ideological, non-profit organization with a mission to encourage, mentor and prepare veterans, transitioning service members, military family members, and other members of the military community for a "Second Service" in civic and political leadership.
Our programs include political leadership and candidate training workshops, a Distinguished Speaker Series, guides and "Field Manuals" for veterans aspiring to civic and political leadership, research on veterans in civic and political leadership.
We partner with the University of San Francisco to offer the Master of Arts in Public Leadership program for those wishing to further their training, education, and exploration as civic leaders. Learn more: https://www.usfca.edu/arts-sciences/graduate-programs/public-leadership
Most of all, we strive to be an objective, non-partisan educational resource to veterans by convening a community of civic-minded veterans, distinguished public servants, and supporters towards a shared goal of empowering the "next Greatest Generation" of American leaders.
