We're bringing Christ-centered economic empowerment to the hard places.
About us
Our vision is to the see the world's most insecure and under-served communities stabilized through economic empowerment and the hope of Jesus Christ. Together, with the support of our generous partners, we are challenging the status quo and the belief that refugees and the materially poor are in need of a hand out. People living in poverty are capable. And we believe that with the right tools, the opportunity to work, and the support of Christ-centered community, people living in material poverty can and want to provide for their family with dignity. Through Seed Effect's experience and the success of our program, we are uniquely positioned to act as a catalyst that shifts the response to refugee crises by bringing long-term solutions through Christ-centered, self-sustaining, and empowering tools executed by the refugees themselves. Refuge isn't meant to be the end goal. Restoration is. And it starts with a simple green box.

Abonyo Pamela thank you for sharing with our team! We are so grateful to learn from others' wisdom and experience and collaborate to reach our members with excellence and intentionality.
One certain thing is that turbulent times are here to stay, and leaders need to prepare themselves to navigate the organization through this season by developing strong crisis management skills and fostering open communication with their team members. Additionally, leaders should prioritise adaptability and flexibility to effectively respond to unexpected challenges and changes in the business environment. I had the pleasure of meeting with the Seed Effect board and management team a few weeks ago. It was a fantastic session; we talked about navigating the present economic instability and creating backup plans. Seeing the team's dedication to taking proactive measures to resolve issues and promote an environment of openness and cooperation was really encouraging. I look forward to seeing what God is doing in the organization and the lives of the people they impact. In the mission to end physical poverty, providing access to sufficient nutrition is essential. All Access partner, Seed Effect, recently shared with us the harsh reality of access to food for the populations they serve in northern Uganda. Many of their members face the daunting challenge of providing for their families, with some struggling to afford even a single meal a day. This has profound implications, particularly for the young minds growing up in these households, where malnutrition can severely impact brain development and education. But here's the extremely encouraging news: Seed Effect's efforts are making a tangible difference. Since joining Seed Effect, the number of members consuming only one meal a day has plummeted by a staggering 96%. This isn't just a statistic—it's a shift towards food security and better health for countless individuals. At the same time, 83% of their members now enjoy meat more than once a month—a significant dietary improvement. And the benefits extend beyond nutrition. With an 82% increase in solar lighting in homes, children now have the opportunity to read and study after dark, illuminating their path to education and a brighter future. This is more than just aid—it's empowerment. You can hear more about Seed Effect's work in episode 19 of the podcast today: https://lnkd.in/gEyKr9fY

Today is World Hunger Day. Nearly 800 million people around the world do not have enough to eat. Many of our Seed Effect members join our groups experiencing the reality of not having the necessary resources to feed their families more than one meal a day. That is why we are so excited to be able to invest in agriculture training opportunities for our members. 96% of our members are able to provide more frequent meals for their families, with many of those meals consisting of better nutritional values after the first year of our program! And they continue to improve! Read more about why investing in agriculture is vital for refugees in Northern Uganda. -> https://rb.gy/2fvv14
