At a recent SRH Board of Directors meeting, the leadership of the Family Medicine Residency Program was honored for achieving the top national ranking in board scores. Over the past five years, the program's residents have scored an average of 620, significantly surpassing the national average of 535. #LegacyOfExcellence

Today is Juneteenth, a pivotal date in history symbolizing the liberation of African American slaves in the United States. On this day, we celebrate the great strides that have been taken, while also reflecting somberly, and acknowledging the ongoing efforts required to attain true equality and inclusivity in our communities.

The Society for Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative (SVS VQI) has awarded Self Regional’s Heart and Vascular Center three stars for its active participation in the Registry Participation Program. The participation awards program began in 2016 to encourage active participation in the registries program and recognize the importance of that participation. Participating centers can earn up to three stars based on actions that lead to better patient care, including: • The completeness of long-term, follow-up reporting, based on the percentage of patients for whom they have at least nine months of follow-up data • Physician attendance at semi-annual meetings of a regional quality group • Initiation of quality improvement activities based on VQI data • The number of vascular registries in which the center participates Read more at the link below! https://lnkd.in/erN7iceC

This Memorial Day let us all pause and reflect on the incredible contributions of those who have served our nation, especially those who are no longer with us. Memorial Day offers us a poignant opportunity to express our gratitude to the courageous individuals who have selflessly defended our freedoms, often at the cost of their own lives.

Self Regional team members gathered Wednesday for a BBQ lunch provided by Smokey Grays BBQ to celebrate healthcare week, followed by a ceremony to mark the unveiling of the new Ruby Clark Serenity Garden located outside of the patient tower. The garden, designed and produced by the Piedmont Tech Horticulture Technology Program, will be a place where patients, family and team members can go to find peace and calm during stressful times. The garden was funded by the SRH Volunteer Auxiliary's 2024 Lights for Love Campaign and is named in memory of Ruby Clark, a former SRH Volunteer Director who started the lights for Love program.
