Meet Lucas Saltmarsh, an environmental scientist! Lucas started his career with Seneca over 5 years ago with our general contracting team as a seasonal carpenter while he was pursuing a degree at Iowa State University. His hard work turned his seasonal role into a full-time position. After receiving his degree, Lucas became interested in Seneca's environmental division and made the transition, which led him to his current role. “There’s a lot more to the environmental side of the petroleum industry than what people think. A lot of behind-the-scenes work, like sampling, reporting, etc. is happening even before the construction of a project begins. I love learning and constantly gaining knowledge within the environmental field, especially with tank removal and dri-sump testing.”
