Be a Hunger Hero from the Driver's seat! 🚗 This September, the Alice Lam Memorial Fund is stepping up in a big way! They're challenging YOU to make a difference during Hunger Action Month by helping us nourish our neighbors, one grocery bag at a time. For every 100 new or returning volunteers who sign up for a route through our Home Delivered Groceries (HDG) program, the Alice Lam Memorial Fund will donate $25,000! HDG ensures that 6,000 seniors, people with disabilities, and those with mobility challenges receive fresh, healthy groceries right at their doorsteps. With funding cuts and reduced support, the Food Bank needs your immediate support now more than ever! Sign up, grab your keys, and share your generosity with your neighbors in need! 🔗 https://loom.ly/JzLbEJ4

Luca, a San Francisco high school student, found an innovative way to support the Food Bank through a sport he’s passionate about: running! Learning about the recent cuts in funding that the Food Bank has been facing, Luca was compelled to start a fundraiser where he’d run miles for donations to support the Food Bank. “My grandma has always been passionate about the Food Bank. She’s been volunteering there for decades now, and I started volunteering with her last year and I really enjoyed it. I saw the good they’re doing in the community, and I want to support that,” said Luca. Luca’s goal is to run 600 miles, and he has already raised $2,000! Thank you, Luca, for running towards a hunger-free world! Thank you KRON4 Digital for highlighting this story: https://loom.ly/oTSvp7Y See Luca's progress: https://loom.ly/skDqPF8

It’s time to strike out hunger!        What an honor it was to partner with the SF-Marin Food Bank and the San Francisco Giants to Strike Out Hunger. In addition to Visa's donation of $100,000, we matched the donations of the SF Giants fans who tapped their Visa cards as they entered the ballpark. This brings the total we raised to over $112,000, which will provide ~224,000 meals for local families.      This event has become a powerful tradition that brings Visa employees, our partners, and sports fans together to help meet the needs of the community we proudly call home.         It also fulfilled a childhood dream of mine — to take the mound at Oracle Park and throw out the first pitch. Shout out to Castro Valley Girls Softball league for the training needed to get the ball across the plate. It was truly special, and it was amazing having my son Jackson Lawrence there with me!        The SF-Marin Food Bank is a vital part of our community, serving over 225,000 people every year with food and other resources to improve health and well-being.  Visa is committed to supporting the communities where we live, work, and play. San Francisco is vital to that mission, as the home to more than a thousand Visa employees.          With today being World Humanitarian Day, I hope we all can find ways to give back.      In recent years, the American Red Cross has become dear to me. I love donating my time and money to it whenever I can.  What are your favorite causes and how do you choose to give back?
