Every child deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep. That’s the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor. With 339 across the US, Canada, the Bahamas, and Bermuda, they rely on a strong network of volunteers to build and deliver beds to families in need. Managing thousands of volunteers efficiently is no small task. That’s where Golden comes in. Yesterday morning Sleep in Heavenly Peace - FL, Tampa Bay joined forces with Ashley Global Retail's Hope to Dream Foundation and Tampa Bay Sun FC to build and deliver beds for children in the community. Thanks to the dedicated volunteers, we're ensuring more Tampa area kids have safe, comfortable beds for restful sleep. Since 2019, the Tampa SHP chapter has provided over 4,000 children with hand-crafted beds, part of a nationwide movement that's delivered 260,000 beds to kids in need. We’re proud to partner with Hope to Dream, as we have provided more than 8,000 children across America with beds and mattresses to call their own over the past five years. Together, we're making dreams a reality. A heartfelt post from our Sleep in Heavenly Peace - OH, Warren Co chapter: A mother in the community has a young child with a rare liver disorder who urgently needs an organ transplant. Her child has been receiving care at a specialized hospital but must now return home to wait. One of the requirements is that the child must have a bed of their own. The mother reached out to us for assistance, and we were happy and honored to provide a bed. Knowing the child’s favorite color and sport—blue and soccer—one of our supporters is also creating a special snuggle blanket. 🧸 We delivered the bed on Wednesday and her child is scheduled to be home next week.
