A specialty pediatric hospital in Chicago serving the Midwest and beyond. Specialty medical care for children with orthopedic conditions such as club foot and scoliosis, cerebral palsy, hand and limb differences, orthopedic specialists in rare diseases in children. Also inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation including spinal cord injury in kids, plastic surgery including cleft lip and cleft palate and orthognathic jaw surgeries. We also offer one of Chicago's few motion analysis centers that provides gait analysis in children. Mary was able to pick out her costume and found the perfect mermaid outfit to match the shoes she was wearing for her clinic visit. These magical costumes have special fasteners or openings to help kids with medical devices or conditions. When Andrea was just 4 years old, the southern Illinois child sustained a spinal cord injury in a car accident, which left her paralyzed from the waist down. After receiving emergency care and rehabilitation locally, her family brought her to the specialized spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation program at Shriners Children’s Chicago.
