Growing forests for our future...growing jobs for yours.

About us

GROW WITH US Sierra Pacific Industries started in 1949 with one sawmill in Humboldt, CA. Today - with over 6000 crew members - we are one of the largest U.S. lumber and millwork producers, manufacture windows, and generate renewable biomass energy. SPI owns and sustainably manages over 2.4 million acres of timberland in California, Oregon and Washington. We are growing forests for our future, planting over 10 million new trees every year. Our forests are sustainably managed by a team of foresters, wildlife biologists, botanists & other professionals. Our advanced manufacturing processes allow us to utilize nearly 100% of every piece of wood we bring to our mills. We produce lumber, millwork, and landscaping material. Any leftover woody material is converted into electricity in our eight biomass-fueled power plants. Our Sierra Pacific Windows division crafts windows and doors from select wood species grown and harvested in our own forests. We are the only window company that oversees our products from the moment the tree seedlings are planted until our beautiful wood windows are produced and delivered. We’re one of the largest window companies in the world. with more than 600 dealers and distributors with sales in 30 countries around the world. Sierra Pacific is a company where our crew members are proud to work at state-of-the-art facilities and others strive to become part of the team. WHY JOIN OUR TEAM? In addition to paid vacation and 10 paid holidays, we provide an excellent benefit package including a full Health Benefits Plan (including medical, dental, and vision) with low-cost premiums, a 401(k) with Company Match, additional Retirement Contributions, and company-paid Life Insurance. Every year since 1979, the Sierra Pacific Foundation has provided an average of $500,000 in scholarships to help the children of our crew members with education expenses. Yesterday we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our state-of-the-art conifer seedling nursery in Siskiyou County. This over $40 million investment, done with the support of a $3 million CAL FIRE grant, is positioned to help address the gaps in conifer seedling production to assist California in meeting its reforestation needs, including post-fire recovery. We showcased the first stages of this project including the 6.1 million seedlings growing on-site. Once fully operational, the nursery will have the capacity to grow 25 million seedlings annually. We thank our partners at CAL FIRE, USDA Forest Service, and representatives from Siskiyou County for their continued support, and to our dedicated SPI team for their incredible work and commitment to this vital project. 🌲

At SPI, our success is driven by the dedication and hard work of our incredible crew members. Every quarter, we feature a Spotlight on Success story in our company newsletter. This feature highlights those who consistently go above and beyond. ⭐️Meet Lance, our most recent Spotlight on Success! ⭐️ Lance’s first encounter with Sierra Pacific was during a high school mill tour. He never thought it would be the place to eventually shape his career. After earning his Engineering degree and exploring other career paths, he found his way back to SPI starting as an Electrician in 2008. Lance’s commitment and drive has led him through various roles, from PLC Programmer to the Machine Shop to his current position as Mechanical Engineering Supervisor. His dedication to learning and taking on new challenges has been key to his growth. Lance recognizes the importance of seizing opportunities and growing his skills. We’re proud to highlight Lance in this SPI Spotlight on Success!
