Thank you for your partnership and support for our SIM Tampa Bay 2024 Golf Classic. As previously communicated, due to severe flooding on the course last week, Westchase Golf Course re-booked our Annual Golf Tournament. The new date is now January 10th, 2025.   All of your registrations remain intact and the event will be held at the same times, just on the new date! Let's use this opportunity to invite more of our emerging Technology Leader colleagues in our Tampa Bay community to one of our most impactful events of the year. Please know that in support of everyone's efforts, we've also taken a moment to donate $2500 to the Red Cross Hurricane Helene Relief Fund. We will be supporting our other outreach partners through our normal ways this year including honoring them at our Annual Holiday Event in December. Due to the pending inclement weather and out of an abundance of precaution, the SIM Tampa Bay chapter has decided to postpone the 2024 Annual Golf Classic which was scheduled for tomorrow Oct 4th, 2024. We are working on setting up a new date with the venue and will communicate that to everyone as soon as we have one. Please continue to follow us here for more updates . In the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene on the Tampa Bay region, SIM Tampa Bay is steadfast in its support for our community and members. Today, we are making an initial contribution of $2,500 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief effort. Additionally, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds from our October 4th SIM Tampa Bay Golf Classic fundraiser to the American Red Cross. Our organization has a proud tradition of giving back to the community, and we are committed to helping our members, friends, and neighbors recover and rebuild.  We encourage donations to the American Red Cross and we certainly welcome IT Practitioners in the area to join us this Friday at our golf tournament at Westchase Golf Club to network, play, and also to help raise some money to help the cause.
