Joy! #Satisfying! Slime!

About us

Sloomoo Institute's mission: deliver joy through #satisfying, play and slime! Open since late 2019, Sloomoo Institute is an immersive, colorful, interactive experience with locations in NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and more opening in 2024. The Sloomoo world invites guests to indulge in hand-made, deliciously scented slime, tactile compounds, mesmerizing CGI videoscapes, soothing ASMR, the world's largest DIY bar to make your own slime (over 4M unique combinations), and more. Sloomoo Institute's creation comes from a personal place. The founders, long-time friends, discovered healing and joy when playing with slime in their late 40s. Enthralled with the magic of experimenting with different textures of slime, they saw it as more than a kid's toy; it was a way to unleash the inner child, connect with themselves and each other. The brand supports mental health and inclusion through non-profit partnerships, a neurodiverse workforce, equal opportunity employment, and a welcoming guest experience.

🌟 Exciting News Alert! 🌟 We’re over the moon to share the grand opening of our new space in Los Angeles is SEPTEMBER 8! It has been two years in the making and an amazing opportunity for us to elevate our vision with Method Design Architecture + Urbanism, PLLC whose sinuous architecture mimics the folds of slime. We innovated with a sound bath experience by NY artist Randy Polumbo and can’t wait to spread joy through #satisfying surprises. We are working on building our neurodiverse workforce (over 10% is our commitment to inclusivity; we also collaborate with Kulture City to provide sensory kits) and looking forward to a deeper partnership with The MindUP | The Goldie Hawn Foundation for mental fitness for children in the organization’s home town. 💗 We are grateful to everyone who brought this life. 🌍🌟 World Entrepreneur Day: Celebrating Visionary Founders. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on two incredible entrepreneurs whose groundbreaking work has redefined their industries. Meet Karen Robinovitz and Sara Schiller, whose journeys exemplify resilience, innovation, and passion. 💡 Karen Robinovitz, founder of Digital Brand Architects and a pioneer in social media influence, has earned accolades from Variety and Forbes for her groundbreaking work. From shaping global brand strategies to a celebrated journalism career, Karen found joy in her childhood love of slime during a tough time in 2018, reconnecting with a cherished passion while navigating personal loss. "What skills are necessary to be an entrepreneur and how did you cultivate those skills at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey?" Karen shares, “To be an entrepreneur, you have to be resilient, fearless, and tireless. It’s about taking leaps into the unknown and building your vision despite the anxiety and challenges. You must check your ego, know your strengths and weaknesses, and surround yourself with exceptional people. It’s less about cultivating specific skills and more about having the right mindset.” "What's a daily reminder/mantra you say to yourself to keep you passionate and focused on your goals?" Her mantra is simple yet powerful: “Everything is possible. You got this.” ________________ Sara Schiller, transformed the corporate meetings landscape with her innovative company, Meet, which offers high-tech, art-filled venues for creative gatherings. "What skills are necessary to be an entrepreneur and how did you cultivate those skills at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey?"Sara believes, “Being an entrepreneur is a mindset. You need to embrace uncertainty and understand that the stakes are high. The reward, however, is immense and addictive. You have to bring all your skills and experience with a unique mindset, knowing that the journey will be filled with challenges and triumphs.” "What's a daily reminder/mantra you say to yourself to keep you passionate and focused on your goals?"Sara’s reminder is empowering: “You are strong. You are amazing. You can do this.” #WorldEntrepreneurDay #Entrepreneurship #Leadership #Innovation #Inspiration #WomenInBusiness

Chief Insights Officer @ GOODQUES | Top 10% of Inc Magazine's Fastest Growing Companies in the US | Keynote Speaker| University Lecturer

After becoming a Mom this past year, the power of play has been more present than ever in my life. Sitting in the sand, putting rocks in a bucket for a solid 50 minutes straight (at the least) has brought back a sense of self I think I had lost. So I can not be more excited for GOODQUES to be chosen by Fast Company to join in the #FastcompanyInnovationFestival, partnering with Sloomoo Institute to showcase how play (in this case Slime!) can promote connectivity and combat the loneliness epidemic many of us are experiencing today. We will be PROVING the impact play has on driving connectivity with proprietary research, and using those learnings to curate a custom "AN ANTI-NETWORKING, NETWORKING EVENT" at Sloomoo! Block your calendars people :)

We are excited to announce our newest partnership with Houston legend Bun B’s Trill Burgers! We connected with him through a shared love of slime, which has become a cherished way for him to play with his grandkids and find moments of joy amidst his hectic schedule. Together, we've created a family-friendly immersive experience with a slime and burger collaboration launching today, July 18th. We’re combining the signature flavors of Houston's best burger with our world of satisfying sensory play. At Trill, Chefs Michael Pham and Fernando Valladares crafted a Sloomoo slime-themed OG Trill Burger featuring smashed beef patties, caramelized onions, pickles, American cheese, and signature Trill sauce, accompanied by a side of cheesy Sloomoo sauce in blue or pink—all presented in custom co-branded packaging! At Sloomoo Houston, we’ve developed two exclusive slimes inspired by Bun B: Trill slime, a DIY Cloud Dough scented with fresh-cut grass and a clay rendition of his iconic hat; and Triple OG Burger slime, a butter slime with a sumptuous bread aroma and a clay replica of the Triple OG Burger. Join us as we kick off this partnership! Visit Trill Burgers on July 20th from 12-3PM for surprises and a chance to win golden tickets with your Sloomoo Burger purchase. Slime with Bun B at Sloomoo Houston on July 21st from 1-2PM! Don't miss out on this limited-time collaboration, available through August 18th. See you there! Sloomoo Institute is all about coming together, connecting with others and to yourself. Little did I know that when I found that playing (with slime) gave me ease and healing through depression, the widespread sceeen and scrolling addiction alongside the pandemic would create the need for a massive movement to cultivate community, foster well-being, collaboration, a pervasive feeling of belonging. The power of play transcends age, as it’s a vital conduit for creativity, learning, and emotional fitness. It nurtures a joyful sensibility we all long for and it enriches life with wonder. Every Friday, this summer, at ALL Sloomoo locations, we are inviting everyone to handmake slime with us - for FREE - in our shops. Going in with your hands is a way to embrace the moment, be present, and activate your senses. Join us! See the Sloomoo site for the addresses. Www.Sloomooinstitute.Com Newell Brands #elmersglue, we couldn’t do it without you!

Ahead of the series premiere of Orphan Black: Echoes, we’re proud to partner with AMC Networks to create a “YOU ARE A LIMITED EDITION” custom slime to celebrate the tenets of uniqueness and freedom and the return of the Clone Club through sensory play. It has a metallic, ruby shine, embellished with metallic sugar paper, like a shattered mirror. The texture is clear glue based, so it offers mesmerizing bubbles and stretches. We custom blended an elevated scent that we call Freedom (notes of citrus, vanilla, floral, and a hint of leather, which makes for a sophisticated fragrance, befitting of the show). AMC Networks & Sloomoo will donate a portion of proceeds from every #OrphanBlackEchoes slime purchase to Tech Kids Unlimited, a Brooklyn-based charity empowering neurodiverse young adults with technology skills. Watch & slime with us. Tune in on AMC TV, AMC+, & BBC America on June 23rd for the premiere of Orphan Black: Echoes! So thrilled to bring this to life together with Jeannine Irons, Heidi Meyers, Lauren Collins, Judy Sellner, MA, Nalini Silva, Stephen Cox, Kyle Schansinger
