As politicians weigh changes to the tax code, we encourage them to replace the 20% pass-through deduction under Section 199A with a new $25,000 standard deduction that would ensure that the smallest businesses receive a bigger tax break than they do today. As Brandon Kochkodin noted in an interview for Forbes with SBM Founder & CEO John Arensmeyer: “‘Our position is that we should reform 199A…’ Arensmeyer says Harris hasn’t taken a clear position on 199A, though he notes that former President Trump isn’t talking much about small business in general leaving onlookers to ‘divine’ what his plans entail.” https://lnkd.in/eTj5BN9b
