When we started Small Girls PR 14 years ago, we leaned into our pride as a women-founded and women-owned company. We even put it in the name 😉 Now, we are thrilled to announce that we are officially certified as a woman-owned business through Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Transitioning from self-certification to formal recognition by WBENC underscores our commitment to celebrating diversity and excellence in all we do. We’re proud to have represented nearly 1 out of every 5 female-founded unicorns (woman-owned businesses with billion dollar valuations) from Stitch Fix to 23&Me. And to have partnered with women paving the way from Malala to Betsey Johnson herself. Interested in partnering with a certified diverse supplier? Email us at newfriends@smallgirlspr.com

Perigold was founded in 2017 as an alternative marketplace for high-end brands to make themselves more accessible to design lovers everywhere. ✨ Since then, it has become a go-to for those looking to elevate their home decor without breaking the bank. Even apparel brand (and SGPR client 💅) M.M.LaFleur has long furnished its retail stores with its pieces. Last week, House Beautiful got in on the action, shining a spotlight on Perigold in a glowing write-up.💡 https://lnkd.in/gYzYVkad

We’re thrilled to have made The PR Net 100 list for the third consecutive year. ✨ We’re proud to be acknowledged for our dedication to innovation and delivering outstanding results. We’ve done this since the company’s inception, and 2024 has proven no different. 💥 From helping GE set flight towards a new future 💫 to putting our Small footprint on the Olympics 🥇 in a myriad of ways (producing watercooler conversation in between competitions for Snapchat, Figs, and P&G alike). Thank you to The PR Net for giving us another gold medal of our own. 🏆

On Monday, August 19th, our DEI Committee took over our bi-weekly all-hands meeting to host an incredible discussion around elevating diverse voices. Our team was able to hear from entrepreneur Onikah Asamoa-Caesar about her journey to Tulsa, OK, founding Fulton Streets Books and Coffee, and the significance of representation in literature and media. One anecdote that really resonated with our team - on the day Vice President Kamala Harris announced she was running for President, many local Tulsans flocked to Fulton Street Books and Coffee to commemorate the announcement in a safe space that celebrates representation. We’re so grateful to Onikah for such a meaningful dialogue, and we look forward to continuing to showcase diverse voices and perspectives.

After spending the last two weeks hysterically sobbing while watching the 2024 Summer Olympics, Figs coverage is still going strong! Their partnership with the Team USA Medical Team, made up of over 250 dedicated healthcare professionals overseeing the games, resulted in the group’s first-ever team uniform. We’re thrilled to see the collaboration get the Fortune treatment–proof that between the athletes, the medical staff, and our own creative team, teamwork really does make the dream work.
