Last co-hort of NNEdPro-IANE #Cambridge #SummerSchool, as President and co-founder of Global Smily Academy, I was invited to join a session of high level Professors, addressing the very complex nexus among #women #leadership and #Health. My humble contribution was focused in the framework of #mentalhealth; #nutrition and #Food. I owe this further opportunity to Professor Sumantra Ray and despite this was my second scientific dialogue in #Cambridge with the amazing work of Prof. Ray and his team, I was very nervous. The reason is that this time I had the privilege and responsibility to also represent Rituraj Phukan Jadav and Munmuni Payeng with the Indian based International #Indigenous People’s #ClimateJustice Forum; Matteo Salerno, VP of Global Smily Academy; Tanit I. who trained me on Northern and Southern Planetary #diversity on #womenleadership; Guillaume PEGON, PhD who I just met last April and who blowed my mind with his gentle approach to on #mentalhealth and with his important experiences in field with ACTION CONTRE LA FAIM, a #France based Global NGO, where Tanit I. works too. The vital issue of the Summer School, requires #healthcare comprehensive #nutrition #training to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary #knowledge and #skills in nutrition. It encompasses a broad spectrum of basic #nutritional concepts, their applications in healthcare, #policy, and #prevention, and #bridging the gap between basic #science and #clinicalpractice. 🇧🇷A justiça de gênero é parte integrante da justiça climática. As mulheres e as suas comunidades locais são as guardiãs de 80% da biodiversidade do planeta e têm conhecimentos ancestrais sobre a terra e os mares, pelo que é essencial envolver todas as mulheres nos processos de tomada de decisão. Ela são o grupo mais afetado pelas alterações climáticas. No que diz respeito à ação climática, a desigualdade na representação das mulheres conduziu a uma lacuna gritante nas soluções climáticas orientadas para os mais afetados pela crise climática. O G7 e o G20 têm capacidade para influenciar as políticas climáticas globais e garantir que os direitos humanos e a equidade estejam no centro da ação climática. É importante que as negociações sobre o clima tenham lugar em locais democráticos e livres e que os países anfitriões não violem os direitos da sociedade civil. Defendemos a existência de alavancas fundamentais para ajudar a completar o fosso da desigualdade na educação, na justiça social, na proteção jurídica e nas infra-estruturas para o bem. 🇬🇧 Gender justice is an integral part of climate justice. Women and their local communities are the custodians of 80% of the planet’s biodiversity and have ancestral knowledge of the land and seas near them, so it is essential to involve all women and girls in decision-making processes. Ultimately, they are the group most affected by climate change. When it comes to climate action, the inequity in women representation has led to a glaring gap in climate-solutions geared towards those most affected by the climate crisis. The G7 and the G20 have the ability to influence global climate policies and ensure human rights and equity sit at the heart of climate action. It is important that climate negotiations take place in locations that are democratic and free and host countries do not infringe on the rights of civil society. We advocate for key levers to help close the inequality gap in education, social justice, legal protection and infrastructure. "L'amore per la vita" È una frase che mi ha fatto riflettere, quanto mai in questo momento in cui ciò che sta succedendo nel mondo è volto alla distruzione degli ecosistemi naturali ed umani. Questa frase l'ha scritto una bambina, insieme a tante altre frasi scritte da piccole e piccoli che hanno risposto alla domanda "Quale azione fai ogni giorno per il Pianeta?" lanciata da BAM - Biblioteca degli Alberi. Vedere una parete piena di speranza, di comunità, di amore e luce è stato toccante e profondo. Ma ha anche sollevato un grande senso di responsabilità. Che cosa possiamo fare noi? Che cosa possiamo fare concretamente ogni giorno? Le risposte sono tante: dalla raccolta differenziata, al ridurre gli imballaggi in plastica, usare la borraccia, mangiare più vegetale, comprare second hand. Oggi però voglio concentrarmi su un'altra cosa che possiamo fare: circondarci delle persone giuste. Si, perché è solo quando hai intorno qualcuno che ti apprezza, ti stimola, ti ispira. Qualcuno che crede nelle tue stesse battaglie. Che combatte e lavora al tuo fianco che puoi davvero portare un cambiamento. Piccolo o grande che sia, lo si fa insieme.
