#Gratitude week continues — shining the light on those who shared the light, as we approach Diwali, the Festival of Lights! “With Engineering Blueprint, Dr. Seth offers an incredible resource to develop the tools, perspectives, and practices to embody what it takes to be a strategic thinker, harnessing the power of reinvention from within, and translating it into the professional landscape." It has been an honor to connect with Dorie Clark, a polymath who is a keynote speaker, Thinkers50 Top 50 Business Thinker, and bestselling author with acclaimed books like The Long Game and Reinventing You. Her work and insights resonate. Thank you Dorie for the encouragement and the endorsement for #HeartofScienceBook 3, Engineering Blueprint with Society of Women Engineers. Our collaboration hasn’t materialized (yet) but as you know, in life and in my role as Chief Science Advocate at 3M, I’m in #TheLongGame 🤓.

#WE24 Day 3 recap That’s a wrap on #WE24, Together We Rise! And together we did! Day 3 was full of excitement starting with Invent it. Build it. It was incredibly rewarding to see all these students from Chicago Public Schools excited about STEM. We ended on a high note with an inspiring keynote by Shelley Knust, Vice President – Product Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (PCRA) of Cummins Inc. Her speech touched on how impactful it is to stay honest to yourself, even when it is nerve-racking. That challenge can be used to propel ourselves further, and reflects on how powerful mentorship can be. Thank you to the closing keynote supporters: Caterpillar Inc., John Deere, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and The Manitowoc Company. The closing celebration was filled with a fantastic buffet of food, some groovy dancing, and a ton of connection with our amazing SWEople! Thanks to the SWE staff, partners, volunteers, nearly 500 exhibitors, and the 20,000+ attendees - virtually and in-person - for helping us to make WE24 one of the best yet! Let us know what your favorite part of the conference was with us below! ⬇️ #WE24 #WomenEngineers #WomenInSTEM #STEM #WE24Keynote #BeThatEngineer

WE24 Day 2 recap Day 2 at #WE24 has been quite the whirlwind! It started out with Keynote Speaker Catherine Hunt Ryan who highlighted some incredible concepts about construction! That construction has not been designated as a place for women, women have shown up regardless. The importance of infrastructure in our daily lives. As well as, what it takes to build a better future. The Friday Keynote is Supported by: AbbVie, Discover Financial Services, Nestlé, & PepsiCo. Catherine is president of Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology business at Bechtel Corporation. After Hunt's presentation, the attendees headed off to the career fair, education sessions, luncheons, and networking lounges. Throughout the day, attendees were able to get some professional headshots done or shop the SWE boutique for some one-of-a-kind merch from WE24. The night ended with the 2024 Apex Awards Reception where award winners enjoyed a festive evening celebrating their accomplishments. Today's Closing Keynote by Shelley Knust, Vice President – Product Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (PCRA) at Cummins Inc. will take place at 3:45 pm to wrap up the conference before the closing celebration! WE24: Day 1 Recap Yesterday was a day to remember! The start of #WE24 began with a dynamic & authentic speech from Sharon Hong, Vice President, Ecosystem Solutions and Video at Motorola Solutions. Starting with a literal WAVE and ending with taking a heartfelt and conscious approach toward yourself, Sharon gave us some advice we can all take to heart. Remember that in order to grow you must learn about your insecurities, sit with your emotions, and stop trying to be all things to all people. Don't listen to Aunt Judgy, and instead be a friend to yourself that you need. And most importantly, don't fear your own success. Thank you to ExxonMobil, Honeywell, Intel Corporation, & Wabtec Corporation for supporting the opening keynote. Our #SWEople came in droves! You could feel the excitement in the air. Everyone geared up for the coveted career fair, took advantage of the lounges, & networked like there was no tomorrow. But fortunately there is so much more in store at WE24! We look forward tomorrow's keynote, career fair, and networking opportunities. If you didn't have the chance to peep into the Diverse Podcast Booth, Wellness Lounge, or a wide variety of specific tech field workshops, be sure to add those events and more to your schedule for today. We can't wait to see what day 2 brings and we're looking forward to today's keynote from Catherine Hunt Ryan, president of Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology business at Bechtel Corporation kicking off shortly at 9 am ET! Share your favorite moment from Day 1 in the comments below! We’d love to hear about it! ⬇️ 📸 @coppersmithphotography #We24 #TogetherWeRise
