Our culture is truly uncommon and is the product of the values we keep at the forefront and the quality of people that work at Solomon. Our values begin with having a Servant’s Heart and ultimately, that is what we want to be known for throughout Nashville and all of Middle Tennessee. We truly work to make Servant’s Heart more than just a buzzword, but a call to action. We are currently planning our annual company service project – Solomon Serves Day. This year we will be working with Hope Force international, a Christian disaster response team, to build the interior and exterior walls of TWO homes that will then be shipped to KY for families that were victims of recent tornados. Each home features 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home is approximately 1,200 sf ft. On October 5th our employees and their families will gather at a local church to build these homes. Every year, our community provides. We are able to continue doing these project year after year, not only because of the success of our company but because of the generosity of our community. Solomon Builders will be supplying all materials and equipment for the project and volunteers; wood, nails, screws, dumpsters, generators, portable toilets, food, etc. If you are interested in donating any supplies to this year’s project you can reach out to Lacy at lhohlbein@solomonbuilders.com and she will be happy to let you know what supplies are needed. Any small tools such as hammers and squares that are donated will be taken to Honduras in February when Solomon takes their employees on a company mission trip. If you are not able to donate, you can say a prayer for our company, community, all of our volunteers, Hope Force, and all recipients of the homes!

Today marks 4 years since we lost our friend and founder, Ty Osman. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Ty, I feel like I know so much about him. His personality shines through the people he touched. From what I’ve learned, Ty was incredibly funny – a true class clown and jokester. Almost every story I hear about him is filled with humor. He had a deep love for his family and was passionate about his friends and employees having deep family connections of their own. Ty was a true leader that inspired others. He was something special - not just to those who love him deeply but also to the community that he impacted by being a God fearing family man, with a talent of building great relationships & buildings. The phrase ‘gone but not forgotten’ is especially true in Ty’s case. It’s not just because of memories but because so many people in his circle strive to live like he would. His impact his far and wide. Everyone - his friends, family members, and employees- carry a bit of legacy and personality with them every day in how they conduct themselves and live their lives. Not a day goes by that Ty isn’t missed, but I can say without a doubt that he is loved and still impacts us to this day. Signed, The Social Media Girl

For 17 years, we have shared our office space with Both Hands Foundation . This year they have outgrown our space and moved to a new office. Yesterday’s lunch with them in our office was overwhelming, bittersweet, moving and powerful. We are so proud of the work they do and the growth they have achieved, but we will definitely miss our “roommates” as they start this new chapter.

It seems like every other day someone asks about our project on Carothers. It was great to walk the project with the team. We are loving progress.

We are thrilled to share that our team joined forces with Holladay Properties for a meaningful day of service with Habitat for Humanity!! Tasked with completing two walls, our team’s Servants Heart went into overdrive. They were able to complete insulation, trim, and siding for the entire house. We are proud of our incredibly talented team and seeing them use their gifts to benefit the community fills us with pride and gratitude!!
