It has been heartbreaking to watch Helene’s impact on our communities and neighbors with many lacking access to vital resources like food, water, and shelter. We hope you and your family members are safe. If you are able to give, United Way of Greenville County and United Way of North Carolina have launched relief funds to fulfill unmet needs of victims and help communities recover from the damage. We are so proud to share that the Southern First team raised $131,895 for United Way during our “Backyard BBQ” annual giving campaign, while having a lot of fun along the way! Our associates’ donations will have a far-reaching impact in the communities we serve to ensure everyone has access to the opportunities to achieve their full potential. Thank you to our team for the way you care and serve every day.

Cryptocurrency scams are on the rise, and we want to help you stay safe. In these scams, criminals try to befriend you online using fake profiles and claiming to be experts who can help you make money. They coach victims into investing in fake platforms that may look convincing, but when you try to withdraw the money, there’s no getting it back. Remember, research before you invest in anything. Do not send money to anyone you meet online, especially if they are pressuring you to act fast and offering a “sure bet.” If you have any concerns about a potential investment scam presented to you or think you’ve fallen victim to a scam, contact your banker right away.
