By alleviating some of this burden, the tool aims to enhance the #cancertreatment journey, which often lasts for years. Scheduled for broad release in 2025, CareIntellect for Oncology will initially focus on prostate and #breastcancer, with ongoing development of additional AI tools to further support #healthcare professionals. This research indicates that the interplay between the normal and mutated versions of #KRAS is more complex than previously understood, opening new avenues for targeted therapies. The loss of the normal KRAS #gene can accelerate tumor growth but may reduce metastasis; additionally, tumors lacking the normal KRAS gene show increased sensitivity to MEK inhibitors, suggesting specific genetic profiles can inform targeted treatment strategies. In fiscal 2023 alone, VCU received nearly $107 million in #NIH support. The rally gave researchers a chance to share their work directly with lawmakers and underscore how essential funding is for advancing health outcomes.
