Thanks to everyone who came out to the car wash and bottle and can drive our Special Olympics Central Shoreline team held at Palumbo's Automotive Unlimited over the weekend! The athletes, Unified partners and coaches had a blast collecting recyclables and making the cars and trucks that came through sparkle and shine. At the end of the day, the event raised close to $700! Members of the Special Olympics Central Shoreline team are currently participating in weekly golf and softball practices to prepare for our Unified Sports® Fall Festival. The Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. was founded by a group of mothers who wanted to expand the social, cultural and extracurricular opportunities for their children in the greater Hartford community and beyond.
