I started my career as a software developer and transitioned into design when coding was the only way to create interactive design prototypes. Today, code prototyping is essential for UXR with audio-based interactions. I'm hiring a Senior Technical Product Designer 🦄. If you're equally versed in design, front-end development, and music production, please apply! https://lnkd.in/gkxHYSHq #splice #awesomeplacetowork #musictech #responsibleAI #productdesign #codeprototyping #digitalsignalprocessing #uxr

Splice is furthering its goal of becoming an integral part of music education. FamFrequency Productions, a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has incorporated Splice into its music production curriculum. Splice is making teaching everything from music theory to sound design easier, fostering inspiration, and helping students overcome creative blocks. “Splice has become an invaluable tool in our educational toolkit at FamFrequency Productions,” FamFrequency Founder and CEO Jonathan Edwards says. “It bridges the gap between learning and creating, making the process of music production accessible, enjoyable, and highly effective for our students. By providing them with the resources they need to succeed, Splice plays a pivotal role in helping us nurture the next generation of music professionals.”

I wanted to share something cool—Splice recently wrote about FamFrequency Productions on their blog! The article dives into how our student-artists are using Splice in their music production, and even in film and media projects. It's amazing how having access to such a massive sound library opens up so many creative doors. Also, I’ve got to shout out John McNeill and Joel. Their mentorship has been such a key part of this journey, helping our students not only get comfortable with Splice but also giving them real world insight into entrepreneurship through their work at Soul Surplus LLC. It’s wild to think we’ve been at this for 2 years now, and I’m so grateful for how we’ve grown. Here’s to the next three years and all the impact that’s yet to come!

👏 to our Head of AI, Alejandro Koretzky, for being invited to be a speaker at Harvard University.
Had the great honor of being invited to speak to a group of Harvard University students about #AI and the emerging new paradigms in music creation. The course, "Design Theory & Practice", is jointly run by Harvard Business School and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and it's meant to teach students how to apply design-thinking principles and processes for creating disruptive technologies that shift our current ways of working; as a former designer back in the day, this is something I'm particularly passionate about. My thesis: - across all modalities, AI is pushing us to a new interaction paradigm where creation is now driven by what I refer to as a decision tree of micro-curation mechanics. - intent is becoming multimodal and it's now the system's responsibility to understand and process unstructured user intent into actionable, discrete calls to action. If you're interested in getting access to this presentation, comment here! Thank you Ricky Cordova for the invitation!

Last week, we joined The FADER to explore the Songs of the Summer. From massive global hits to groundbreaking tracks from emerging artists, the FADER's editorial team broke the contenders into a March Madness-style bracket, with four regionals representing a different type of summer song. The five-episode podcast series started with the Main Stage Regional. A bracket of heavyweight tunes that you couldn’t avoid this summer.
