🎤📱 Introducing... Splice Mic! Capture a feeling, record an idea, and export it to your DAW — all in the time it would take to doomscroll through a few videos on TikTok. Our team spent the last year talking to musicians around the world who create music with their phones: 🇦🇺 A university student in Australia who took Splice samples and recorded in Bandlab to send her boyfriend a song while she was on holiday 🇩🇰 An ambient producer in Denmark who used Stacks as source material for his cassette loops 🇨🇦 A delivery driver in Canada who spends shift breaks hunting for "the golden one" — that sound that lights him up with inspiration Splice Mic is for these musicians, and so many more. This feature and this campaign are the result of unbelievable collaboration. Today, we're excited to launch a major update to Splice Mobile: Splice Mic. This new feature empowers songwriters and producers to record their own vocal ideas directly over Stacks created with Splice Create. With phones already being an essential tool for music-making—and over one million users having created more than 28 million Stacks since we launched Create mode—Splice Mic takes creativity to the next level. Now, songwriters can experiment with vocals, lyrics, and genres seamlessly, even when they're away from the studio. Shout out and thanks to Music Business Worldwide (MBW)!

Today we're launching Splice Mic, a new Splice Mobile feature that allows producers, vocalists, and songwriters to record riffs, toplines, and new lyrics from their smartphones over “Stacks” made using Splice Create. Splice SVP of Content Kenny Ochoa said to Music Business Worldwide (MBW) “The phone is already a huge part of music making… Now songwriters and producers can record vocal ideas over Stacks of samples. They can experiment with vocal, lyric, and genre and have even more control over their creative vision." Splice Mic is available now via Splice Mobile.

In 2025, female producers are still one of the most underrepresented communities in the music industry at only 3.5%. This number doesn't define the immense talent that women bring to the table. Here are a few ways you can support women in music production.
