    CLUB Women’s Sports was a smash hit! The CLUB kicked off with a bang at our VIP Reception where we dove into the exciting world of women’s sports branding. Jessica Griffin (Community & Partnerships Manager at Walgreens) shared how the brand involved Connecticut Sun players in choosing their favorite Walgreens products to share with fans, ultimately boosting ROI. Susan Collins (Chief Client Officer & Executive Lead of HypeHer at Rain the Growth Agency) discussed how they’re connecting brands to the women’s sports community. Julia Cheney (US Cultural Marketing Lead, Devices and Sales at Google) also shed some serious wisdom on the power of storytelling in sports, specifically when centered on female athletes. Next attendees were engrossed with a lively fireside chat with Angela Ruggiero (4x Olympian and co-founder of Sports Innovation Lab) and Margaret (Midge) Purce (2023 NWSL MVP, fellow Olympic medalist from the US Women's National Team, and Executive Producer of The Offseason). The two treated the audience with all the exciting details on the new incredible, first-of-its-kind docuseries “THE OFFSEASON,” hitting the screens on October 18th!     PINCH ME. Am I dreaming?! On Monday evening, I was named one of Advertising Week’s official “Future Is Female” Award Recipients for 2024. Born a creative little girl that loved to tell stories (and wrote my first “novel” at 9), this is an absolute dream come true. This award celebrates the utter POWER of women in such a special way, and it truly changes lives. Media creates real change, and I am proud to be a part of this transformation in motion. Thank you endlessly to Advertising Week, Spotify/Spotify Advertising, Ruth Mortimer, Louise DiIulio, Gina Waldhorn, Jennifer Pelino, Angela Ruggiero, Josh Walker, Alex Gottlieb, Stacey & John King, my team at Sports Innovation Lab, and all this year’s judges for making this dream a reality. This award honors trailblazing women in the field, and Peyton certainly fits this bill. For the last 3+ years, Peyton has been instrumental in building Sports Innovation Lab’s brand and changing the game through her passions of sports data and women’s sports. Peyton has keynoted several conferences, hosted webinars, and been a valuable voice for Sports Innovation Lab on-stage, but she also does countless things behind the scenes and works incredibly hard to take this company to the next level. This - along with her leadership skills, creative vision, kindheartedness, and doer-mentality - make her incredibly deserving of this honor. We’ve designed our proprietary data cloud to identify when fans of certain leagues also belong to these different high-value communities to better help our clients target their marketing campaigns and design more compelling fan experiences. While exploring which league’s fans were most likely to be spending on fashion & beauty, we discovered that along with spending on these categories Major League Baseball fans were also spending a lot on dating apps! With an average spend per fan of $219 per year (for those who spent on any dating app), baseball fans outspent every other league fans across dating apps including Hinge, Bumble, and Tinder!
