Earlier this month, Dr. Robert Spang, an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship-training in both advanced shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine at Sports Medicine North, along with Physician Assistants Benjamin Smith, Gary Salvador, and Edward O'Reilly, attended the 16th Annual Gull Club Golf Challenge. This annual tournament provides student-athletes with essential financial support throughout the academic year.

Last month, Dr. Akachimere Uzosike, a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in all aspects of non-surgical and surgical care of the adult and pediatric spine at Sports Medicine North, Laurie Paskavitz, Manager of Physician and Community Outreach at Sports Medicine North, and David Morales, General Manager of Wellpoint attended the THRIVE Luncheon hosted by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. THRIVE is a chamber initiative aimed at empowering women in business on the North Shore to succeed both professionally and personally. The featured speaker at the event was Maureen McKinnon of Marblehead, the first American woman to compete on a paralympic sailing team and the first to win a gold medal. Sports Medicine North believes in supporting the growth and success of women in business and contributing to a healthy lifestyle for all those on the North Shore.
