What do 🎃 Halloween and SEO have in common? Well, first of all, let's just make sure this is said: Halloween is a time of fun and joy filled with some scares and sweets while SEO is the opposite. 👻 1. They both thrive on fear! Law firm owners are told all the time that their website won't be worth it if they are not ranked on Google. This could not be further from the truth! True visibility comes from staying top of mind. If you're forgotten about, then why bother being seen to begin with? 👻 2. There are sugar highs and sugar crashes! Google's algorithm is constantly changing, and because of this, you could be on page 1 today and page 3 tomorrow. Secondly, SEO can give you, what seems to be, bursts of traction. However, these moments don't help build lasting relationships. They come and go quicker than you can say "trick or treat"! 👻 3. Costumes hide the true identity! Stuffing your website's blogs full of keywords and buzzwords tends to make your website's user experience not a good one! This practice hurts your chances of building strong relationships because you are appeasing robots, not humans. It skews your brand for the sake of trying to rank. Who are you? Not sure.
