SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is an academic medical center in St. Louis that serves as the teaching hospital for Saint Louis University School of Medicine and is exclusively staffed by SLUCare Physician Group. Today, we celebrated the new Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Long-Acting Injection Clinic at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital! The new facility will officially open to the public on Tuesday, August 27 and will help mitigate the growing demands of emergency services for individuals coping with anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, or unforeseen circumstances, and will serve as a resource for the community to access counselors, psychiatrists, nurses, and specialized therapists in one location.

Farzana Hoque, M.D., Medical Director of Bordley Tower, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, has been selected as the recipient of the Unsung Hero award by the Society of Hospital of Medicine (SHM). The Unsung Hero award is given to a chapter leader who has positively influenced SHM behind the scenes with a positive attitude and a willingness to support other chapter members. Only one award is given under this category annually. Dr. Hoque is currently serving as the president of the St. Louis Chapter of the SHM.
