Happy Juneteenth from St. Luke's Medical Center to our patients, community members, and staff. Today marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the nation were informed of their freedom. May today serve as a reminder of the struggle for freedom and the remarkable spirit of the African American community. As health care providers, we know first-hand how disparities play out in our communities, and we are determined to foster a more equal, just, inclusive society – in health care and beyond. #Juneteenth #HealthCareEquity
