For several years, the Abdala & Barrantes Foundation has been dedicated to bringing 8-year old Emmanuel to the United States for a life-changing surgery. As he was born without arms, Emmanuel, a spirited and determined young boy, impressively uses his feet as if they were hands to accomplish everyday tasks. The foundation was established by Sharlles M., a client of SMSSI, and his wife, Marcela Sanabria, FMP. Their mission is to transform the lives of children and families in Brazil and Colombia, where the funds they raise in the U.S. have a significant impact.
