The back-of-house functional spaces are not always the sexiest designs, but the transformations and usefulness when they are designed and constructed correctly have a huge impact on the end users. Congratulations to a few of our August photo contest winners for showcasing what it takes to makes these spaces efficient: Fernando for his photo of the courtyard at the Avalon adaptive re-use project in Wilmington we're doing with @KFALosAngeles, Tyler for his before and after photo collage of a much-needed restroom remodel, Paige for her photo of the delivery of a rooftop spa at the Villa San Clemente Apartments, and Terry for his photo of the shelving installation for a renovated pharmacy.

Meet Conor, one of our rockstar estimators on our pre-construction team. His ability to sort through fantasy football statistics and apply probabilities translates directly to an amazing ability to define project estimates that give clients realistic expectations for their budgets.

Meet Elaine, one of our secret weapons on our Project Engineering team. Her ability to focus allows her to ensure her teams stay organized and on schedule while her cheerful demeanor means everyone enjoys the time they get to spend with her.

You've already met Stacey, our rockstar Estimating Coordinator, but did you know she is also a powerhouse Board Member of the Ventura County Contractor's Association? As the Scholarship Chair, she ensures members are provided with the education, construction resources, and professional services they need to be successful in the construction industry, no matter their economic status.

We are sending a huge "Thank You!" to Lake, our summer Project Engineering Intern. Not only is he smart, driven, and organized, he is also enthusiastic and just plain fun to be around. We had an amazing time working alongside him as he learned the ropes of what it means to be a Project Engineer and we can't wait to see him again as his education progresses.

Paige is another of our new all-star project engineers. From creating her own clickable log that links to all of her most-used documents to uncovering historic 1920's bricks, Paige loves the never-ending ability to learn something new on a project site.
