Updates

  • We are immensely proud of the crew members who, before being forced to abandon ship, demonstrated exceptional professionalism by ensuring fire monitors were active to provide boundary cooling water to the adjacent cargo tanks. This decisive action significantly limited the damage to only the cargo tanks directly impacted by the allision. https://lnkd.in/d8nn3gbr

  • We are deeply saddened by yesterday's incident involving our vessel Stena Immaculate off Hull, which was involved in an allision with the container ship SOLONG. Last night, our President & CEO Erik Hånell met with the crew in person. While they are all safe and accounted for, naturally they are still processing the events. In moments like these, it's about being there, listening, and ensuring that our people feel supported. We extend our sincere gratitude to the emergency responders and search and rescue teams who acted swiftly and professionally. Their dedication and expertise have been invaluable throughout this challenging situation. Since last night, we have been on location in Grimsby, closely following developments and standing by our team. Our focus remains on their well-being and providing the support they need. To all who have reached out with concern - thank you. It means a great deal. The full statement regarding the incident is attached. We will provide updates as the situation develops. https://lnkd.in/dQTZFKYa

  • And we continue to celebrate the art of life at sea! ⚓ Every year, Stena Bulk’s photo competition brings out the creative side of our seafarers, capturing breathtaking moments from life at sea. Through their lenses, we get a glimpse of the beauty, challenges, and uniqueness of their everyday world—moments that often go unseen but deserve to be celebrated. Last year’s 2nd place winner, captured by Chief Pareshkumar Fulbaria , when onboard the Stena Image, perfectly illustrates this. His stunning image showcases the iconic Puente de la Constitucion de 1812 in Cadiz, Spain against a backdrop of a colorful evening sky, reminding us of the incredible environment our crews navigate every day. A huge thank you to all our seafarers for their dedication and creativity! We can’t wait to see this year’s entries. 📸✨
