Remembering Lisa Hubler With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Lisa Hubler, a beloved resident of one of our intellectual disability group homes. Lisa’s warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She brought joy into our lives and reminded us daily of the beauty in small moments. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of staff, housemates, and everyone in our community who had the chance to know her. Though she is no longer with us, Lisa’s light will continue to shine through the love and memories we carry. Rest in peace, Lisa. You will always be part of the Strawberry Fields family. https://lnkd.in/gMUQQP-z

On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, let's take a moment to recognize how vital it is to care for our mental well-being. 💚 Prioritizing self-care, reaching out for support, and breaking the stigma around mental health is more important than ever. Whether it’s taking a walk, talking to a friend, or seeking professional help, remember that you matter - and so does your mental health.

Strawberry Fields is incredibly thankful for the support we receive through United Way's Day of Caring event. We operate several group homes for people with disabilities and it's very important to us to ensure these homes are comfortable, joyful, and well maintained. Volunteers through the Day of Caring event worked on various projects at several of our homes. Their hard work makes a positive impact on the people we serve - and for that, we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you Centre County United Way, volunteers, and everyone who comes together to make this event the success that it is!

Early intervention for children with disabilities is crucial for their long-term success and well-being. By providing support and resources early on, we can help children develop essential skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential. 🚨 Accessibility is something many of us take for granted, but for people with disabilities, it's an everyday struggle. From navigating public spaces to accessing services, barriers can prevent them from enjoying the same activities we do. We all have a role to play in creating a more inclusive community. Let’s be mindful, speak up, and hold our communities accountable for ensuring everyone—friends, family, and neighbors—can enjoy life without barriers.
