It’s always fun and thrilling to start a new journey. Today, I’m officially the new CEO of Ceros.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve been a part of once-in-a-generation companies including LinkedIn and Stripe. I got started in tech as employee 16 at a Series A startup, Massive Inc., that we scaled and sold to Microsoft. That startup experience changed my life. After that point, I was solely focused on companies where I could have an impact and work in an authentic way.
I’m excited to bring my lessons learned from these experiences and from the most transformational CEOs that I have had the great fortune to work with to the opportunity ahead of us at Ceros. 900+ enterprises like McKinsey and Pepsi partner with Ceros to create content and launch premium digital experiences.
I first met Simon Berg, the founder of Ceros, in 2019 as I was joining Greycroft, one of Simon’s earliest backers. We found common ground in our passion for company building, culture, creativity, and in our personal values. We shared countless pictures of our kids and dogs. I joined the Ceros board shortly after and had a first class seat as Simon led the company through Covid and continued growth. I have so much respect for his ability and passion that brought Ceros to where it is today.
You can say this all came full circle. This decision was a big one, but I have had this unique feeling of calm coupled with urgency as I start this journey, for a few reasons.
1) Simon is one of the most passionate founders I know. To take something that he created and continue to move it forward is an honor and a responsibility that I humbly accept.
2) I have served on the Ceros Board for the past three years so I’m ready to step in and lead its next stage of growth. I am deeply grateful to partner with Ceros leadership, the Board, and our lead investors at Sumeru Equity Partners.
3) I have great respect for the talented, dedicated Ceros team who partner with our customers to deliver value every day.
4) Fewer than 10% of CEOs are women. I hope to accelerate the narrative and cultural belief that women can and should lead at the highest level.
5) In the next decade, my daughters will enter the workforce. I feel accountable as a role model to support their paths.
Thank you to the Ceros leadership team for all of your support Kevin Croxton, Matthew Wellschlager, Rob Bender, Jennifer Schwalb, Jack Dixon, Daniel Mc Glade and to the dedicated team at Sumeru Equity Partners, Sanjeet Mitra, George Kadifa, Nathan Stanley.
I love the saying: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." I certainly feel that energy and can’t wait to see what our team at Ceros can accomplish.
