Well said from our CEO Aylin Basom: Your #SupplyChain is important for the communities you serve. At Supplier. io, we can tell an organization as they invest in more small and diverse businesses, what their impact is to: creating jobs, GDP, taxes, wages, and more. It's also critical to know what kind of impact your supply chain is having on the environment, not just for reporting on #ESG metrics, but comparing to your peers, and knowing you're heading in the right direction to reduce Scope 3 #emissions. ✳️ There’s something troubling lurking in every supplier, in every business, including your own… and that ‘something’ is RISK. In a recent Art of Procurement #webinar, our own Laura Noonan explained why recognizing the presence of risk in your organization and #SupplyChain is just the first step in minimizing threats to the business. It's what you do next that really counts. Get the webinar on-demand here: https://hubs.la/Q02PvV7F0 Download our ESG Risk Report here: https://hubs.la/Q02PvWc90 #procurement #RiskManagement #ESG

From our latest #ESG Risk Report: When examining #governance risks, #SupplyChain management emerged as a significant concern, with 45% of companies facing material exposure. These risks include disruptions from geopolitical events, reliance on single-source suppliers, and sourcing vulnerabilities, impacting operational continuity, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, 43% of companies face risks related to unethical business conduct, such as bribery and corruption, while anti-competitive practices affect 38% of companies. Addressing these governance issues through robust frameworks and ethical practices is essential for sustainable business operations. Discover more impactful and insightful metrics in our State of Supplier Diversity Webinar on Tuesday, September 17 at 1pm ET with our CEO Aylin Basom and The Hackett Group Inc.'s Chris Sawchuk. Congrats to the newest inducted members of the Billion Dollar Roundtable! 🎉 The inductions of T-Mobile, The Coca-Cola Company, Medtronic, and CBRE raises the BDR’s membership roster to 43 corporations. As a requirement of membership, BDR member companies commit annually to documented #SupplyChain spend of $1 billion or more on a first-tier basis with diverse suppliers whose majority owners identify as minorities, women, veterans, disabled and LGBTQ. It’s been shown that every $1 spent with a minority business enterprise creates $2 of community impact - Collectively, the 43 member companies in the BDR spent $132B with minority business enterprises in 2023. Congrats, again! Great work. https://hubs.la/Q02N-vlT0 #SupplierDiversity #SupportSmallBusiness #SupportMinorityBusiness

According to our latest #ESG Risk Report, developed with Impak Analytics, 45% of companies face material risks due to poor labor and working conditions. Poor working conditions can lead to labor unrest, strikes, or boycotts, causing production delays and shortages. These disruptions can impact a company's ability to meet customer demands, resulting in lost revenue and damaged customer relationships. Not to mention, the serious reputational damage this can cause. What are some mitigation strategies that #procurement teams can take to address these risks? ✔️ Adoption of comprehensive codes of conduct ✔️ Conducting regular risk assessments ✔️ Implementation of whistleblower mechanisms ✔️ Diversifying their supplier base and encouraging responsible sourcing Download the report here: https://hubs.la/Q02NsqnF0
