The dynamic of filmmaking is undergoing a permanent change. At some point, the economics don't make sense if you're building models based on data from as little as 2-3 years ago. Like all industries, what once worked for so long, isn't necessarily working and it's time to adapt. I made a film in 2008 when research indicated a potential 750-1.2m gross return based on the comparables. We grossed less than 500K because the landscape shifted thanks to the economic crash of late 2008/9. There was no recovery to the previous model. Thankfully, we are at a time when technology is enabling productions to achieve a perceived value far higher than the actual spend. This is an opportunity. The only caveat is that viewers need to adapt as well. If the film doesn't have a "name," it needs to be flawless AND you need to understand making the film is less than half the battle. Four walling a marketing campaign is critical. There, that's my nugget for the day

This is doing the opposite! Bringing an advanced and sophisticated theme park experience to sports and live events. A social setting with good food and drink. It's a recipe for success

Sad to share that we lost another good one in Chris Large way too early. I've known Chris for 15 years, personally and professionally. Friendly competitors at different rental houses for years, we finally joined teams and started to really have some success until the ill fated strike had other plans. His work in Astro Photography is epic and he was a fantastic Father and Husband. Loved his family. Godspeed Chris.
