Bandai Namco’s first U.S. store at Industry City isn’t just a retail destination—it’s an experience. Modern Retail takes a deep dive into how this Brooklyn outpost stays true to its Japanese roots, from Gashapon machines and arcade games to an authentic Tokyo-style shopping experience. More than just a place to shop, the store is designed to bring anime and gaming fans together—whether it’s through One Piece card tournaments, collector finds, or a shared love for Pac-Man nostalgia. https://lnkd.in/dpKz3FFY

We had a great time today at Commercial Observer's Brooklyn Market Forum! Our Managing Director, Jim Somoza, joined a panel on Mixed-Use Campuses in Brooklyn alongside Lindsay Greene from Brooklyn Navy Yard and Alyssa Zahler from Two Trees Management. Our biggest takeaway? A successful mixed-use property isn’t just about buildings—it’s about building community. Creating a dynamic retail landscape, fostering tenant connections, and offering meaningful amenities all contribute to an environment where businesses thrive. At Industry City, we’ve seen how cultivating an energetic, collaborative community makes our campus more than just a place to work—it’s a place where people and ideas come together.

Creating community through art—something we love seeing our tenants bring to life at Industry City. Year-round, Tanya Weddemire Gallery is dedicated to showcasing Black artists and deepening the value of art through culturally rich, intentionally curated exhibitions. From paintings and photography to sculpture and fashion, the gallery amplifies powerful perspectives, making it an integral part of our creative community. The gallery currently hosts "I Got a Story to Tell," the debut exhibition curated by Tatianna Mack, the gallery’s art liaison. Inspired by her family’s history and conversations with her grandmother, Mack has created a space that encourages us to reflect on our own stories. As Brooklyn continues to evolve, let us remember that our artists are the heartbeat of this community. They challenge, inspire, and remind us of our shared humanity. 📅 On view in Building 2 until March 8th #BlackHistoryMonth #BrooklynArt #WomenInArt #IGotAStoryToTell #SupportBlackArtists #IndustryCity #CreativeSpaces https://lnkd.in/evndcQVG
