Today we'd like to put the spotlight 🔦 on DNP student Jody Collins who recently presented her project, “Impact of a Clinical Nurse Practice Ladder on Nurse Job Satisfaction and Turnover,” at the Texas Organization for Nursing Leadership conference! This is an incredibly important topic that made for great discussion and garnered a lot of interest. We're so proud and can't wait to see Jody graduate as part of our inaugural DNP cohort this December! 🎓 "Like all of us, completing a DNP program has been a labor of love," Jody said. Here's another new faculty introduction for you today! Meet Karen Thomas, new lecturer at our Bryan campus! To get to know her a little better, we asked Prof. Thomas a couple of questions. Q: What brings you to the College of Nursing? 💉 A: I have always loved working with students across my career. I was invited to be an adjunct at another college in their simulation lab, and I was hooked! I loved teaching and getting to know the students, and decided it was time to officially go from player to coach. I did research on programs and knew this was where I wanted to be. Q: What makes you excited about teaching here? 🏫 A: First, there is something special about Aggie nursing students. It's hard to fully capture all the dynamics of what makes them a cut above the rest, but in short, they are exceptional in basically all aspects. Having a front row seat as their professor is a joy and a privilege. I also love this university’s rich heritage and focus on traditions. Welcome and howdy, Prof. Thomas! #TAMUNursing #AggieNurse
