"Respect is about showing consideration and nurture when things are not fine. When tensions are highest, that is when we are put to the test.” - Azza Karam, Ph.D Thank you to all who attended Tanenbaum's #ReligiousDiversitySymposium at SAP. We were joined by incredible panelists and guests across the DEI field sharing lived experiences, challenges, and practical applications for creating more inclusive and equitable workplaces for employees of all backgrounds and faiths to flourish. Our workplaces are stronger when we can show up and feel respected as our authentic selves. We are deeply grateful to Accenture and SAP for supporting this year's Symposium. We're left feeling inspired by all who joined us at yesterday's #ReligiousDiversity Symposium at SAP to explore challenges and opportunities around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for employees of all faiths and none at work.
Today’s conversation at TANENBAUM’s Religious Diversity Symposium provided a space to get curious, challenge assumptions, expand perspectives and give one another hope. It served as a reminder that as challenging as this work is, it’s necessary. Added bonus: I got to catch up with these two rockstars! Tameka Green Michele Christ #religiousdiversitysymposium

The #PeacemakersInAction Working Retreat was seven days of reflection, healing, laughter, solidarity, and collaboration with peace activists from around the globe. One of the most moving activities was the daily walk and talks in the beautiful Rose Castle Foundation grounds where the #Peacemakers paired together in conversation about the #ConflictTransformation and #Peacebuilding work in their local communities. As pillars of their communities in times of crisis and devastation, these moments allow the Peacemakers to share sacred and safe spaces to be vulnerable together. TANENBAUM reposted this
Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of supporting TANENBAUM's 2024 Gala as the organization’s ambassador and a member of its Development Committee. This year, in addition to the formal program, participants had the chance to explore interactive stations and learn more about the critical work that Tanenbaum does to foster peace and interfaith dialogue in education, healthcare, workplaces, and some of the most conflict-ridden places on Earth. Confession time: I might have gotten a bit overexcited as I “enthusiastically encouraged” guests to join in on the “Peace Made Puzzleable” game 😁 But can you really blame me? The questions were awesome, and there were prizes at stake! Huge shoutout to my welcome desk buddy Ray Surayyah Fofana, who interned at Tanenbaum this summer. Ray, you were the best—let’s see if we land this gig again next year!! The Gala events have been a source of hope and inspiration for me over these past five years. Last night, the honorees and speakers shared what gives them hope and keeps them going. One of my favorite moments was hearing from Mark Fowler, Tanenbaum’s CEO, who said that even though it often feels like we’re so separate, the only way out is found in community, “for real, for real.” The only way to get through the darkest times is together. Thank you, Tanenbaum, for creating this incredible community and doing the hard, hands-on, and hope-giving work to make peace possible ❤️❤️ P.S. If you want to learn more about Tanenbaum’s work or play a round of “Peace Made Puzzleable,” I’m here! P.P.S. Nancy Wolfe and Poux Elsie, what's next?! #PeaceMadePossible #BuildingRespect #Interfaith
