About us

Tarjimly is a global community dedicated to improving the lives of refugees by eliminating language barriers. The Tarjimly app trains and connects on-demand volunteers, like translators and interpreters, with refugees and humanitarian organizations. Our team is made up of refugees and immigrants, our co-founders are MIT graduates, YC alum, Echoing Green fellows, and Forbes 30 Under 30, and our advisors are experts in translation, SaaS technology, and disaster response.

✨A short story✨ So, I recently started volunteering as a Spanish Interpreter with Tarjimly (It actually means “translate for me” in Arabic), and today I had the privilege of assisting several people in need through phone calls. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to help those who need it most, and I’m truly thankful for this opportunity. Interpreting goes beyond language—it’s about connecting, supporting, and ensuring that people can access the help they deserve. Every call reminds me of how important communication is in bridging gaps and fostering understanding. I’m excited to continue contributing and giving back to the community. 💬🌍 #Volunteering #Interpreting #Community #GivingBack #Gratitude #SpanishInterpreter #Tarjimy Tarjimly

Celebrating our COO, Sara Haj-Hassan, for her valuable insights at the Google.org Impact Summit Roundtable back in September! The discussion centred around how #nonprofits can adopt #AI responsibly by addressing key questions like: 💡 Will it add value to our work? 🤝 How can we combine the strengths of AI and humans to improve speed, quality, and service to our communities? ⚖️ What are the risks of using AI, and how can we mitigate them? 🔍 What does responsible AI truly look like? 🌍 And most importantly, how do we centre our communities in this AI-driven journey? Thanks to all involved (Aidan Friedberg and Rodrigo Camarena 🙌 ) and to the wonderful Afua Bruce for facilitating! #TranslatingForHumanity #Googleorg #ResponsibleAI
