#NotesFromTheField: Our coaches in New York City D75 led a professional learning session for teachers who are new to Illustrative Mathematics and use UDL (Universal Design for Learning) techniques to support special populations. These teachers are from Transfer and D75 districts whose classes are predominantly MLLs and students with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs). Teaching Lab coaches lead with engagement and passion for the important work we do. By the end of the session, teachers were able to create UDL modifications that can support all students and make modifications to IM curriculum with integrity.
