After 40 years in Aspen, the iconic Food & Wine Classic cruised down to Charleston for the first time, where Lexus turned heads at one of the biggest culinary events of the year 😋 . The weekend was home to over 50 celebrity chef demos, wine seminars, and immersive tasting experiences that celebrate the rich culture of Charleston. From exclusive tours with Travel + Leisure’s Passport to Charleston to a Southern Living College Football Tailgate, there was a little something for everyone. The Grand Tasting Pavilion gave attendees a look up close at the Lexus GX 550 and the LC 500, not to mention delish tasting counters and a cocktail bar. VIPs cruised around courtesy of Lexus vehicles, and attendees savored culinary delights from Lexus culinary masters Jon and Vinny at our Lowcountry Tailgate. It was an unforgettable weekend of flavors and experiences; the perfect example of how Team One crafts luxury, elevated experiences. Here’s to the team that made this one a reality! #teamone #lifeatt1 #foodandwineclassic

What do you do when the final piece of a production puzzle goes missing? Let’s find out in this week’s “Behind The Scenes.” “To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Lexus we recreated the iconic ‘Balance’ spot using the current generation #LexusLS. All we needed was a camera, 35 champagne glasses, and a new Lexus LS. Oh, and a portable two-wheel-drive dynamometer without which there will be no shoot. The day before the shoot the dynamometer company tells us, ‘We can’t make it. Sorry.’ As you may or may not know, there are about three portable dynos available in the country at any one time. Luckily, the guys at A&P Custom Performance in Odessa, TX had one and drove through the night to bring it to us. Heroes. After that, it only took 10 people, two forklifts, and one giant diesel 4x4 to squeeze it into the studio. Now, what happened to the LS? That’s another story…” Your favorite Friday series isn't going anywhere 😂 Stay tuned for more! #teamone #lifeatT1

🚨NEW CLIENT ALERT🚨In our first-ever ground-up campaign with Metabo HPT, an industry leader in power tools, we help a new generation of pros “Get To It.” Metabo HPT has sky-high ambitions and an eagerness to challenge the status quo. Ultimately, they sought a connection with a new generation of pro tool users. In a sea of ubiquitous power and durability claims, Metabo HPT stands out as an authentic brand for those who get it and aren’t afraid to go their own way.   “Get To It” is dedicated to a new generation known as “Strivers”. They don’t let the “way it’s been done” get in the way of “the best way to do it”. The campaign steps outside the category’s sea of sameness, building brand worth that rises above the category entirely. But, we can show you better than we can tell you. “Get To It” yourself and check out the work below. A huge shout-out to our strategy, creative, media, and PR/Influencer teams for bringing such a fresh campaign to life! #teamone #lifeatT1 #metabo #gettoit

“We should always reserve the right to get smarter.”   This week, at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, I had the opportunity to hear Brendan Vaughan, Editor-in-Chief, conduct a really great interview with Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix. During their conversation, Vaughan asked a timely question about the topic of changing your mind: "Netflix has said a bunch of things over the years that it’ll never do. And as we learned, later that changed. Netflix said it would never have advertising. Back before that, [Netflix said it] would never have original programming. Before that, you would never have live sports. You’ve got all three things now. What is the lesson?”   Sarandos had a beautiful response: “Never is a focusing word. It helps teams really focus on things for sure. It’s not that we’re being dishonest with ourselves. It’s in the current climate or in the current conditions, I don’t see us doing some of those things. Conditions change. Climates change. And I think we should always reserve the right to get smarter." Sarandos added: "[Netflix] is a business that we hope is going to be around for [the long-term]. Things are going to change. …If you recognize that things change, then you need to change with them.”   In business, as in life, feels like good advice to suggest we should all reserve the right to get smarter.   #FCFestival #FCIF10 #teamone

In this week’s Behind The Scenes, it’s a loooooong drop to the bottom 😂 This remarkable story comes courtesy of our production juggernaut Jeff DiFranco, Traffic Director by day, and apparently phone destroyer at lunch: “Many years ago, when Team One was still in the El Segundo office, I accidentally dropped our President’s Blackberry down the elevator shaft. I was standing inside the elevator on the 7th floor, with our CFO, Alan, at the time, and our President, Paul, was standing outside in the lobby. As the doors were closing, I saw that a product friend was coming toward the elevator, carrying various parts of a Lexus (maybe a fender or a bumper) and I reached out to hold the doors. Simultaneously, Paul reached out with the hand holding his Blackberry, causing a collision that knocked his phone out of his hand. Much to my horror, we watched it bounce once and then fall through the crack between the elevator and the lobby. We then listened as it bounced and ricocheted down seven floors, ultimately smacking the bottom of the elevator shaft. Paul and I looked at each other in shock as the doors closed. The elevator began to descend and our CFO broke into hysterics, thinking it was the funniest thing he’d seen all day. I was just a lowly broadcast traffic manager and had just dropped the President’s phone down the elevator shaft…I was pretty sure my time at Team One was over. In the end, it all worked out and Paul and I laughed about it. He even recounted the story at a fireside chat he did, while we were still in El Segundo. Incidentally, when they recovered the Blackberry, it still worked, save a cracked screen and tons of scratches. …and obviously, I’m still here. 😜” We’re glad you’re still here, too, Jeff. These are only going to get more ridiculous, so keep an eye out for more remarkable stories every Friday! #teamone #lifeatT1 Photo credit: DALL-E

Thanks to Team One, I am having an incredible time learning and getting inspired at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC this week. In the first full day, I had the chance to hear from some of the most influential innovators, who shared their success stories and the challenges. they faced along the way. Here are three notable moments from the first day: 📌Healthier Food In Our Future: Instacart is revolutionizing food shopping by linking health with food delivery and tagging their world's largest food catalog based on diet needs. Danone is using biotech to create non-animal proteins and accelerating precision fermentation, crucial in the age of GLP-1 drugs. 📌 Rethinking The Impossible: Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, discussed their goal to double their market share to 10% of a $6 billion market. Key points: 1- Creating shows for local markets. Know your audience. 2- Promoting transparency with best-viewed shows reports. And challenging competitors to do the same. 3- Focusing on engagement metrics which drive retention and revenue. 4- Implementing ideas they initially dismissed and said will never do. "We reserve the right to get smarter" was the answer, when asked why they changed their mind. 5- Using "never" as a strategic focus for current priorities. 📌Sustainable Energy Solutions: The need for sustainable and climate-resilient energy is undeniable. With population growth, AI advancements, and quantum computing investments, the demand for energy far exceeds current resources. Organizations like Bipartisan Policy Center, Switch, and the newly rebranded Rehlko (formerly Kohler Energy) are developing reliable, clean, affordable, and accessible solutions. Rehlko is stepping in to provide backup power when the wind doesn't blow, the sun doesn't shine, and weather events cause outages. #teamone; #lifeatT1; #fastcompany; #energy; #foodhealth; #entertainment #streaming; #Netflixhouse; #Nuclear; #SMRs; #thermal; #
