🚀 Proud Partners in Innovation! 🚀 Tech-Max Machine, Inc. is thrilled to have played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Maxar’s WorldView Legion satellites. We collaborated with Maxar Technologies and Scot Forge to develop and manufacture the custom dispenser. This project has been a remarkable journey of innovation, precision engineering, and teamwork. The dispenser is a critical mechanical component that plays a vital role in securing the satellites to the launch vehicle, protecting them during launch, and ensuring their smooth deployment into orbit. Through our partnership, we delivered high-quality, precision-engineered parts that met the rigorous standards required for this mission. #ittakesalegion #SpaceInnovation #TechMaxMachine #SatelliteLaunch #PayloadAdapter
Our team designed a new, custom dispenser for launching the WorldView Legion satellites. The dispenser is a critical mechanical part that secures the satellites to the launch vehicle, protects them during launch, and helps deploy them into orbit. We worked with forging and machine shop partners, Scot Forge and Tech-Max Machine, Inc., to create the high-quality parts that were assembled into the dispenser. “The effort that we went through in terms of design and finding the partners capable of doing this type of forging and machining is the kind of experience we can pass on to future projects,” said Wen Lee, a mission assurance engineer at Maxar who contributed to the dispenser design and development. “We’ve had great teamwork on this program, and I’m impressed with the outcome.” The dispenser was successfully used to launch Maxar’s first two WorldView Legion satellites into orbit and will soon be used again on our second launch. This GIF shows the first two WorldView Legion satellites installed on the dispenser and being encapsulated in the rocket fairing ahead of the May 2024 launch.
