Embracing Refugees: A Vital Asset to Colorado’s Economy As we navigate the challenges of an evolving global landscape, it’s essential to recognize the invaluable contributions refugees make to our communities and economy here in Colorado. Economic Impact: Refugees are not just survivors; they are entrepreneurs, skilled workers, and vital members of our workforce. According to the Colorado Refugee Services Program, refugees contribute over $500 million annually to the state’s economy. This includes taxes, job creation, and local spending. 📊 Workforce Contributions: A report from the American Immigration Council indicates that refugees are more likely to start their own businesses than native-born citizens. In Colorado, refugees have established over 1,000 businesses, generating jobs and fostering innovation. Diverse Skill Sets: Refugees bring a wealth of experience and diverse skill sets that enhance our workforce. Studies show that 24% of Colorado’s refugees hold college degrees, contributing to sectors like healthcare, education, and technology. Community Enrichment: Beyond economic contributions, refugees enrich our cultural fabric, fostering diversity and resilience in our communities. They bring unique perspectives, talents, and traditions that strengthen our social cohesion. At TechNation, we recognize New American's role not just as individuals seeking safety but as integral contributors to our economy and society. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Colorado! #RefugeesWelcome #EconomicImpact #Diversity #ColoradoEconomy #CommunityBuilding
