We are excited to announce that TechNation is a new grantee through the Colorado Refugee Services Program's (CRSP) Thrive Grant, which focuses on integrating and including new Americans into Colorado's civic, economic, and social life. This new funding will increase TechNation's capacity to help newly arrived refugees gain access to career coaches, job placement services, and technology training. We want to thank everyone at the Office of New Americans for trusting TechNation with this new opportunity. Look for more updates on how our program will adapt and grow to accommodate our talented and diverse job seekers.

We have some exciting news to share! TechNation will be moving into a new space on November 1st! We are excited to join other international and workforce development non-profits at the Posner Center for International Development Center in Downtown Denver. This new office will give us the opportunity to meet personally with clients, host workshops and training sessions, and build a larger and stronger team. We are looking forward to having a grand opening event soon. We can't wait for the move!

In Colorado, refugees have established over 1,000 businesses, generating jobs and fostering innovation. Diverse Skill Sets: Refugees bring a wealth of experience and diverse skill sets that enhance our workforce. Studies show that 24% of Colorado’s refugees hold college degrees, contributing to sectors like healthcare, education, and technology. TechNation is excited to announce that we have created our first Register Apprenticeship Programs (RAP) through Apprenticeship Colorado! Our IT Support Specialist and UX Design programs combine industry-approved training and career mentorship for our talented New American job seekers. We are thrilled about the partnership and look forward to sharing the benefits of apprenticeship with our employer partners.

TechNation is hiring a Business Development Consultant to help us grow our connections within the Colorado tech sector. The ideal candidate is looking for a flexible position and has experience in workforce and business development. https://lnkd.in/gf-eyhci

TechNation has space available for our winter CompTIA ITF and A+ courses beginning on December 12, 2024. Our classes are 100% remote and offered in the evening so that students can still maintain their full-time jobs while receiving in-demand technology certifications. Our courses are taught by New Americans and are intended for New Americans, with materials that are tailored to ELS learners. Tuition is completely free for those who qualify for WIOA benefits.    The CompTIA A+ certification is the gold-standard in technology courses and is your gateway into roles such as IT Support Specialist and Network Technician. This course is intended for those with no prior IT experience and focuses on foundation skills. The application due date for this course is October 15th.   Both courses required immediate-level English, as CompTIA materials are only offered in English.
