    TelevisaUnivision today announced a new multi-year partnership with MLB, set to provide dedicated coverage of MLB regular season starting Tuesday, Aug. 20, and continuing through the entire Postseason. The multiyear agreement includes: ⚾ - Two new weekly shows: “MLB En Vivo” and "MLB Esta Semana" - airing Tuesdays and Saturdays, respectively, throughout the remainder of the regular season on UniMás ⚾ - Exclusive Spanish-language rights in the U.S. to the 2024 American League Division Series and American League Championship Series ⚾ - Game 1 of the 2024 World Series presented by Capital One will be broadcast on Univision, in conjunction with FOX Sports and FOX Deportes, giving fans access to the Fall Classic for the first time in the U.S. on an over-the-air Spanish-language broadcast network. Marco Liceaga, our Senior Vice President of Sports Rights Acquisitions & Commercial Partnerships, shared: “We are proud to partner with Major League Baseball, delivering action from the best players and teams to our viewers across the country. Baseball is engrained in Latin culture.     TelevisaUnivision reported financial results for second quarter 2024 today, including 3% total revenue growth. Total advertising revenue grew 6% - U.S. advertising revenue accelerated while Mexico posted double-digit growth for the sixth consecutive quarter. ViX, the largest global Spanish-language streaming service, saw strong audience growth and engagement across both free and paid tiers, surpassing 50 million global monthly active users on the free tier. TelevisaUnivision CEO Wade Davis said: “Q2 was an exciting quarter for us in which we saw building momentum in most areas of our business and delivered some historic milestones. We leveraged the combined power of our linear and streaming platforms to deliver the most watched Spanish language soccer tournament in the U.S. in many years, outperforming the 2022 World Cup. Our DTC business continues to pace ahead of plan and is over-delivering across all of its major KPIs. Global ad sales momentum accelerated, driven by a strong marketplace in Mexico and success in the U.S. in attracting new advertisers to our platform. We are looking forward to the second half of the year where the benefits from DTC’s turn to profitability, the U.S. presidential election cycle, and execution across the rest of our business, should yield a great next couple of quarters.” https://lnkd.in/ezRCFSjH
