About us
Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South opened in 1977 as a member of Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant healthcare organization in the U.S. In 2012, Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth formed a partnership to own Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, with AdventHealth managing the daily operations of the hospital. Operated by Adventist Health System, Texas Health Huguley continues the tradition of healthcare that recognizes that total health is achieved through the proper balance of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Located on I-35W in south Fort Worth, Texas Health Huguley is licensed for more than 350 beds. The hospital includes a medical intensive care unit, a cardiovascular critical care unit, a progressive care unit, open heart surgery center and behavioral health. We have accredited programs in orthopedics, chest pain and inpatient diabetes, plus we have an award-winning emergency department available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More than 350 primary care and specialty physicians provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. We are people from many faiths and cultures, united to relieve suffering and bring healing to people. Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ, to care for the whole person, body, mind and spirit. We treat everyone --patients, their families, and staff-- with dignity, respect and compassion. Our Therapy Center now offers Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, a new method that allows to improve their strength by using less weight and higher repetitions versus traditional strength training. This is made possible by performing exercises under tourniquet compression to your arm or leg. The tourniquet pressure paired with exercise causes your body to produce cells that help with muscle growth and recovery. This method is recommended for patients of all ages who have suffered an arm or leg injury and are working towards improving their strength. For more information about BFR please call 817.551.2747 or visit https://lnkd.in/gQa6Hsi2.

We are thrilled to announce that we now offer Endoscopic Spine Surgery (ESS). Dr. Jarren Section and Dr. Grant Booher have both successfully completed their first cases. Texas Health Huguley Hospital is proud to be one of only three hospitals in the DFW area equipped with this innovative technology. Endoscopic spine surgery offers a minimally invasive approach that allows our surgeons to treat spinal conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis and degenerative spine diseases with precision and care. Here’s what makes ESS special: · Small Incisions: With incisions under a quarter of an inch, patients experience reduced tissue damage and lower risk of complications. · Endoscopic Precision: Our high-definition camera ensures greater accuracy of each procedure. · Faster Recovery: Patients often go home the same day! · Reduced Infection Risk: Continuous irrigation combined with smaller incisions significantly lowers the risk of complications. At Texas Health Huguley, we are committed to providing advanced surgical options that minimize recovery time and enhance patient outcomes. Our CVICU has received the Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) for Excellence in Critical Care. The AACN awards the Beacon Award for Excellence to units that stand out for delivering high-quality patient care in a healthy work environment. The Beacon Award program provides unique recognition and data unlike other award programs because it is unit-based. Through the Beacon journey, units can measure and improve patient outcomes, unit culture, staffing and credibility with consumers - all while keeping hospital resources and the current healthcare environment in mind. For patients and their families, the Beacon Award signifies exceptional care in a unit that puts patients first. For nurses, this award can mean a positive and supportive work environment with greater collaboration, higher morale and lower turnover. Of the thousands of ICUs nationwide (Medical, Cardiac, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, etc.), only 750 units currently have achieved this distinction; 99 in Texas, 23 in all DFW, only 10 units in the Texas Health Resource family and we are 1 of only 3 AdventHealth departments to mark this achievement. Way to go CVICU!
