Interesting break down, Texas Hydrogen Alliance member, Modern Hydrogen is also using pyrolysis.
Methane pyrolysis How "Turquoise Hydrogen" Helps to Achieve Negative CO2 Emissions? ✅ Turquoise hydrogen is produced via methane pyrolysis and doesn't emit CO2 like steam methane reforming. It is cheaper than green hydrogen and can have a comparable cost to blue hydrogen (SMR + CCS). CH4 → 2H2 + C Here, I have listed "methane pyrolysis" technologies: 🟦 1) HAZER GROUP (Australian company) The HAZER® Process transforms natural gas into hydrogen and high-quality graphite. Using iron ore as a process catalyst, this method reduces hydrogen costs and delivers ‘clean’ hydrogen with significantly lower CO2 emissions. Methane [25% hydrogen + 75% carbon] → Hazer Process → Hydrogen + Graphite. 🟦 2) Plenesys (France) Plenesys methane pyrolysis uses its patented HyPlasma technology to separate the methane molecule into hydrogen and solid carbon, allowing the clean production of hydrogen at competitive costs. Plenesys '3-phase AC plasma torches' produce an extremely high-temperature plasma instantly, with an average temperature exceeding 2,000 °C. 🟦 3) Monolith (United States) Monolith uses 'thermal plasma' (methane pyrolysis, which uses electricity to create a superheated plasma that breaks the natural gas molecule into hydrogen and carbon). Monolith Carbon Black Types and Applications: GreenBlack™ → for reinforcing; Core™ → General purpose; Bolt™ → for low-sulphur requirements; True™ → Highest-purity grades. 🟦 4) 1414 Degrees (Adelaide) 1414 Degrees has exclusive rights to a new process for generating net zero hydrogen from natural gas (methane pyrolysis) developed by the University of Adelaide (UoA). The company plans to combine this technology with its silicon-based thermal energy storage solution to offer "decarbonized gas" as a comprehensive solution for industrial heat users. 🟦 5) Synergen Met methane pyrolysis (Australia) Synergen Met uses its plasma technology to produce clean hydrogen and solid carbon outputs efficiently through methane pyrolysis. Synergen Met has been developing its pyrolysis technology diligently since 2009. 🟦 6) Levidian (United Kingdom) The Levidian LOOP technology uses electromagnetic waves to ionize methane, creating a plasma that allows for the separation of hydrogen and carbon without the need for water or the generation of extra CO2. The LOOP system captures the carbon before combustion, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions during the process. 🟦 7) H2EG’s High-Yield Fast Pyrolysis H2EG's rapid pyrolysis technology is an eco-friendly and sustainable way to create syngas, solid biochar, and liquid pyroligneous acid from biomass. Output → 40% CO + 40% H2 + 10% CH4 + 10% CO2 🟦 8) Other technologies 1- PyCCS Biochar Technology 2- Cancarb member of the Tokai Carbon Group 3- BASF Methane Pyrolysis 4- C-Zero 5- Aurora Hydrogen This post reflects my personal knowledge and is for educational purposes only. 👇Is there any other companies that produce hydrogen using methane pyrolysis?

Congrats to our friends at Total Hydrogen Solutions and HNO International
🌟 HNO International is set to deploy cutting-edge hydrogen dispensers across California! They are set to revolutionize mobile refueling stations with Total Hydrogen Solutions, a division of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company. 🚀 Flexible and rapid deployment of these dispensers will meet the surging demand for hydrogen, laying the groundwork for a robust refueling network and a cleaner future. 🌐 ⚡ Paul Mueller, CEO of HNO International, emphasized the company’s competitive advantage: “We are one of the few companies in the U.S. to build hydrogen dispensers with relatively short delivery times.” Key dispenser components are manufactured by U.S. supply chain partners, making it possible to support H70, H35 and tube trailer filling. 💧🔋 This initiative is pivotal for California's journey towards sustainable energy solutions, tackling critical infrastructure gaps head-on! #HydrogenInnovation #CleanEnergyFuture #CaliforniaLeadership #Sustainability #GreenTech https://lnkd.in/gA7MYAVK

Did you know the manufacturing of steel is responsible for roughly 5% of global CO2 emissions? At Linde, we’re proud to be supporting industrial decarbonization efforts on a global basis. Over the past year, we announced several key projects with steel customers around the world using the latest technologies to reduce carbon emissions. This includes a reduction in carbon emissions of up to 95% over traditional steelmaking at what will be the world’s first large-scale green steel plant. Follow us for the latest updates on how we’re leading the charge in transitioning to low- and zero-carbon energy in the steel industry and beyond. #Steel #Hydrogen #GreenHydrogen #EnergyTransition #Decarbonization

Thrilled with yesterday's news that Accelera by Cummins has been awarded $75 million to convert approximately 360,000 sq. ft. of existing manufacturing space at Cummins Inc. Columbus (Indiana) Engine Plant (CEP) for zero-emissions components and electric powertrain systems. The $75 million grant is the largest federal grant ever awarded solely to Cummins and is part of the funding from the Inflation Reduction Act. #electrify #battery #IRA
