All walls ten feet or higher that face a public right of way (like an entrance or sidewalk) must be inspected every five years by a Qualified Retaining Wall Inspector (QRWI). At the end of August, we brought you information about the new NYC Garbage Law taking effect next month. That law specifically affects smaller buildings (1-9 units) and now a pilot program for larger buildings (10+ units) has been proposed by the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY). The NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) recently released their Regulatory Agenda for Fiscal Year 2025.
