The Children's Assessment Center

Thank you to the The Powell Foundation for its continued support of The CAC! 🌟 Grants from The Powell Foundation help provide a variety of mental health services for children who have experienced sexual abuse and their non-offending family members. The CAC offers a variety of services including psychological evaluations, psychiatric care, and individual, group and family therapy. Through these services, our goal is to restore each child’s sense of self, comfort, and safety.

Thank you to the John M. O'Quinn Foundation for your unwavering support and commitment to our community! 💙 The Foundation has been a major supporter of The CAC since the beginning—so much so that our Bolsover complex was named The John M. O'Quinn Campus in its honor.

We know the process of getting help after experiencing child sexual abuse can feel scary. That's why we designed The CAC to be as welcoming and child-friendly as possible—from the soft lightning and bright colors to the cozy seating. Plus, our Activity Room has tons of toys and games to play with while our clients wait between services.

At The CAC, we believe in creating a place of safety, comfort, and dignity for the children and families we serve. That’s why we’re thrilled to share the transformation of our Rainbow Room—a vital space where we provide clients with essential items like clothing, food, and more. Thanks to the generosity of Building New Foundations, our Rainbow Room is becoming a boutique-style shopping experience. Children and families can select what they need in a space designed to uplift and empower them. This renovation reflects our commitment to ensuring every client who walks through our doors feels seen, supported, and valued. We are incredibly grateful to Building New Foundations for their financial support in making this vision a reality.

A huge thank you to Kolache Factory for their unwavering support of The CAC year after year! Through volunteering and their annual shoe drive, which raises funds to purchase hundreds of shoes for the children and their families at The CAC, they have shown what it truly means to give back to the community. We’re so grateful for this incredible partnership and the impact they continue to make. 💙

The graduation halls are one of our favorite places at our Bolsover building. Each unique handprint is painted and placed by a child, marking the completion of a stage in their healing journey at The CAC. In 2024, 134 children "graduated" from our therapy services program. Although we wish that number of children who need our services was zero, we will continue to support the victims of child sexual abuse and their families during their most difficult time.

We are forever grateful to our corporate partners like Flowserve Corporation, who continuously support us. For the last four years, their Community Impact Program, Flowserve Cares, has left a lasting impression on our campus by lending a hand to spruce up our building exterior. 🌟
