Yesterday, the CALA Team had the privilege of visiting the State department for Agriculture in Kenya to present our CALA Cohort 3 graduates. 🌱 It was a moment of reflection. For months, we've seen these individuals grow, face challenges, and push through barriers to shape the future of Africa’s food systems. One thing stood out: the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. Key takeaways: The power of partnerships: Graduates aren’t just individuals. They represent entire networks. Their success will drive the success of Food Systems in the countries they serve. Ministries play a key role: It’s not just about implementing policies. It’s about providing guidance, support, and creating the infrastructure for innovation. Leadership is a team sport: A leader doesn't succeed in isolation. They need a community of stakeholders behind them, ready to support, challenge, and inspire. But the real takeaway? When sectors come together, they can build the change that communities need. As we focus on strengthening collaborations, we unlock opportunities for sustainable food systems that benefit generations to come. Our Cohort 3 graduates are ready to lead, and the Ministry is eager to be part of that journey.
