We wore overalls this week to honor Jones Center founder Harvey Jones on what would have been his 124th birthday. Harvey Jones was a tireless Springdale philanthropist and entrepreneurial force who gave back his entire adult life. He owned and operated Jones Truck Lines — the largest privately owned truck line in the U.S. — yet he was humble and unpretentious, wearing his trademark overalls to work and never losing sight of helping others. The city hosted a groundbreaking Brunch & Bingo for the new $14 million center, which will house Meals on Wheels America, a performance stage, a library, fitness rooms and more. 📣📣 We are thrilled to introduce our new key leadership staff who will be crucial in driving strategic operations and positioning the Jones Center as we grow and transform. Jill Holcombe Suel, Michael Kirk, Dina Wood and Brooke Allen are members of our new Senior Leadership Team! ▪Jill joined the Jones Center as Marketing and Communications Director after transitioning from Walton Arts Center where she spent 12 years promoting the arts and growing community engagement as head of marketing and sales. ▪Michael returns to the Jones Center as General Manager after a one-year stint at Thaden School. Michael previously served as Director of Recreation at the Center for 10 years and eight years as Operations Coordinator at Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club. ▪Dina is our new Director of Development, leading the fundraising team. An attorney with over 20 years as a philanthropic advisor, Dina directed major gift strategies at the University of Arkansas, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest Regional Campus. ▪Brooke is the newest Development Officer to join the fundraising team. Brooke propelled fundraising to record levels at Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWA, Boys & Girls Club of Benton County and Northwest Arkansas Lemonade Day. ✨✨ These exceptional leaders bring fresh perspectives and expertise that will help invigorate our mission and guide us toward even greater success.
